Yoganjali’s Background
The name Yoganjali was chosen by TKV Desikachar after visiting the building in 1998
before it became a Yoga Centre from January 1999.
The word anjali means to offer with respect for whom is receiving.
So Yoganjali - pronounced as in Patanjali - is where Yoga practice
is offered with respect for the student and their situation.
Here teaching the Art of Personal Yoga begins with an inquiry into the students
outer limitations and evolves towards exploring their inner potential.
